Wind River Environmental is Hiring a Laborer Technician Near Monroe, CT
- Driver’s license and Customer service attitude
- $23-$25/hr. dependent on experience
- Assists in the repairs and adjustments of septic systems to maintain the overall function of the system
- Assists in the installation of septic system risers and other system components
- Provide manual labor assistance to technicians in the field including digging & landscaping
- Load and unload vehicle
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, tools and hoses
- Provide excellent customer service
- Must be able to work overtime including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work on-call rotations as needed
- Must comply with all FMCSA and DOT regulations
- Must practice safe work methods to remain accident and injury free. Must have the ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury or accident.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to your job.
- Follow safety rules and exercise safe work practice
- You are regularly exposed outside weather conditions, non-hazardous fumes and noise
- Must be comfortable working independently
- Interaction with customers
- Ability to read and interpret documents including Company policies and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps and road signs.
- Ability to speak, cooperate and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and management.
- Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy including email and internet skills.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- High school diploma, or equivalent is required
- Willingness to use existing your talent and add comprehensive skills through on-the-job training
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment/DOT drug screen, medical certification, physical exam and road exams as required per position
- Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace
- Must be able to meet physical demands evaluation
- Must be able to work overtime including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work on-call rotations as needed
